Daily Paintings - Ranch Buildings

Ranch Buildings
Ranch Buildings

I had  lot of fun with this one. It's a real challenge to paint scenes like this as such a small scale. I really had to simplify everything in order to not get bogged down in details. One of the things I've notices with doing these smaller paintings is I've really got to work on my brush control. The brush strokes are much less forgiving at this size and I need to always remind myself to make strong, purposeful brush strokes and then leave them alone:)

I've really  got to work on my names. It seems like the last few have been really uninspired. Usually my wife helps me name them, but we've both been so busy the last few days she hasn't had the time.
