New from the studio of George De Chiara - November 1, 2010

Painting is easy when you don't know how, but very difficult when you do.  ~Edgar Degas

From the wife of the artist...

At this time of year, it is a real pleasure to scout out new locations with George. We take long, meandering walks in the parks looking for that scene that turns his head. I know he’s working, but it’s also a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Other news and ramblings...

Would you like a free painting?

Here's how to get it. Help me spread the word about my artwork and newsletter! At the end of November, I'm going to have a drawing for one of the paintings below. To get your name in the drawing, refer friends and family to sign up for this newsletter.  When they do, they get a welcome to the newsletter email. Just have them reply to that email with your name in the email somewhere and I'll enter your name in the drawing. They also get an entry for signing up. The more people that give me your name, the better your chances are.  Your friends and family can sign up for newsletter by following this link.

Please join me and The Artists of Texas at our annual group show in Dallas, TX on November 6, 2010 from 1-5 pm at the Dutch Art Gallery. The show is titled "Where Texas Finds It's Color" and features Texas artists from around the state. I have 4 pieces in the show this year (all pictured below). I got to see a little sneak peak of the show this weekend and it looks great. I can't wait to see it all next weekend. The show will run though the end of December, so be sure to stop by if you're in the neighborhood.

With the holiday's coming up soon and time running out,  I'd like to mention that I do accept commissions. If you would like to talk about something you have in mind for a painting contact me at gdechiara@yahoo.com. There should be just enough time left to have your painting done for the holiday season.

Thank you all for your support! Until next time...

Happy Painting,
George
